Sample Academic Plan - Total Credit Hours: 62
This degree is designed for students who intend to complete the first two years of a baccalaureate degree program at Columbia State and transfer to a four-year college or university to complete the bachelor's degree with a major in Clinical Laboratory Sciences. The curriculum included general education and other selected courses typically required in a baccalaureate degree program.
Program Requirements - Students may be required to take additional Learning Support courses. Courses cannot be used more than once to satisfy program requirements.
First Year - Fall Semester - Credit Hours: 18
First Year - Spring Semester - Credit Hours: 17
Second Year - Fall Semester -Credit Hours: 13
Second Year - Spring Semester - Credit Hours: 14

1History Requirement - Select from HIST 2010 , HIST 2020 , HIST 2030 , HIST 2310 , HIST 2320 .
2Humanities/Fine Arts Requirement - Select from ART 1035 , ART 2000 , ART 2020 , ENGL 2160 , ENGL 2860 , HUM 1010 , HUM 1020 , MUS 1030 , PHIL 1030 , PHIL 1040 , PHIL 2200 , THEA 1030 . Literature Options: ENGL 2055 , ENGL 2130 , ENGL 2235 , ENGL 2310 , ENGL 2320 .
Note(s):
*Students transferring to UTHSC and MTSU should take BIOL 1110/1120 sequence. One of these can be substituted for BIOL 2020 .
**May satisfy upper-level course requirement at 4-year institution.
Additional hours of coursework may be required prior to acceptance into a professional school. Students are advised to consult with the anticipated transfer institution to confirm prerequisites.
Check the website www.tntransferpathway.org to review Pre-Clinical Laboratory Science notes for required courses based on transfer university. Students should meet with their assigned advisor to determine courses required for the university chosen.
