ESCI 1010 - Weather and Climate

An introduction to the atmosphere, including Earth/Sun relationships and the processes that generate weather and determine climate. Areas of study will include phenomena and hazards related to weather, and a detailed analysis of climate and climate change, air pollution, and energy resources. (T)

Lecture Hours: 3 hrs. lecture Lab Hours: 2 hrs. lab.

Prerequisite(s): Satisfactory placement test scores or completion of all Competencies in Learning Support Reading and Math ACT 19 (or higher or comparable placement instrument) or completion of all Learning Support Math requirements.
