FCT 1600 - Fundamentals of Production Electrics


Credits: 3

This course is an introduction to DC and AC circuits, electromagnetic devices, electronic components, and analog and circuits.  Students will gain a working knowledge of the requirements associated with the power-needs of an entertainment production.  Special emphasis will be given to power distribution, as well as production lighting and the instruments used.  Upon completion, the student will be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of electricity, wiring, distribution systems and safety relevant to the entertainment industry.
