VET 113 - Veterinary Diagnostic Procedures


Credits: 3

This course provides students with instruction in all major areas of diagnostic procedures within veterinary medicine. Topics will include: hematology, clinical chemistry, veterinary microbiology, urinalysis, and other specimens and related processing and diagnostics. This course will include an introduction to diagnostic imaging, including radiation safety and principles, basic concepts in obtaining diagnostic radiographs for the most common radiographic studies. Lecture/lab combined. Total contact time: 37.5 hours lecture, 22.5 hours lab.

Prerequisite(s): VET 112  & VET 102 .
Corequisite(s): VET 191 , VET 121 , VET 201 .
