Engineering Systems Technology Technical Certificate


Program and Career Description

The Technical Certificate in Engineering Systems Technology is a one-year program designed to prepare graduates for many different careers related to manufacturing with an emphasis on technology, critical thinking, and problem solving. Students will take courses in the basic fundamentals of industrial technology and move to more advanced applications including Programmable Logic Controls.

This technical certificate will be an embedded certificate within the Engineering Systems Technology A.A.S. degree. Upon successful completion of the certificate program, students will be afforded the opportunity to complete industry certification exams.

First Year - Fall Semester - Total Credit Hours: 7


First Year - Spring Semester - Total Credit Hours: 12


Requirements for Certificates Include:


  • Total certificate hours must be at least 19.
  • earning 25% of total program credits in residence at Columbia State.
  • GPA of at least 2.0 in courses required for the certificate.
