Major in University Parallel with Emphasis in Pre-Allied Health Sciences (A.S.)

Program and Career Description

This degree pathway may be used by students seeking admission to a competitive entry health sciences program (Anesthesia Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Nursing, Radiology, Respiratory Care, andVeterinary Technology) and/or by students preparing to transfer to a 4-year institution and seek admission to a similar program at the bachelor degree level. The Associate of Science transfer degree with a concentration in Pre-Allied Health Sciences recognizes students' academic accomplishment and should simplify the transfer credit process at future institutions.

The timeline below serves as a guide to assist students in completing several milestones toward successful degree completion. Follow the column for semester-by-semester recommendations depending upon first term of enrollment. Please consult with assigned Advisor and/or contact program officials for accurate information about program application processes and deadlines for Columbia State's limited enrollment, selective admission AAS programs (AT, NUR, RAD, RCT, MedLab, VET.)
