Major in Tennessee Transfer Pathway with Emphasis in Imaging Sciences (A.S.)

Program and Career Description:

This two-year academic pathway is designed for students who intend to complete an Associate's Degree and transfer directly to a 4-year institution to pursue a Bachelor's degree. Students who complete the A.S. degree at Columbia State combined with upper division coursework at a 4-year institution will be eligible to apply for credentialing examinations and/or licensure.

Radiographers produce medical images to assist physicians with diagnosis and treatment.

Students who desire a marketable credential and plan to enter the workforce directly from Columbia State should select the A.A.S. Radiologic Technology as opposed to the A.S. Imaging Sciences transfer pathway.

Transfer Options

This program is a Tennessee Transfer Pathway (TTP) major. A student who completes the associates degree in this major is guaranteed that all required community college courses will be accepted in this major at the transfer institution. Students may be required to take additional Learning Support courses.

Mathematics Requirement


Requirements for Graduation Include:


  • earning 25% of total program credits in residence at Columbia State.
  • earn a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • taking the Exit Exam.

*Previous credit for MATH 1710  will fulfill the Mathematics degree requirement.
