It is my distinct privilege, on behalf of the faculty and staff, to "Welcome You" to the Columbia State family. At Columbia State you will experience an environment of belonging. Our faculty and staff care about your success, both inside and outside, of the classroom. You will find that instruction is of the highest quality and delivered by faculty recognized for their subject mastery and use of teaching methods that consider diverse learning styles.
We are a student-centered College that is both academically challenging and supportive. We want you to be successful and we work alongside you to achieve that goal. The 2025-2026 Academic Catalog is your resource for information on admission, financial aid, class registration mapping your academic journey, course descriptions, college policies and procedures, and the student handbook-all important tools for your success.
You will find that Columbia State is a college that uses technology for instruction, resources and communication. Computer labs are available across campus, specifically in the library for your use. You are encouraged to check your student account and your student e-mail frequently - we do not want you to miss out on information, events, activities or notes from staff and faculty that are important to you getting the most from your Columbia State experience and your success.
We are also a fun college offering experiences on our campus that include plays, art exhibits, movies, concerts, athletic events, competitions, academic societies, lectures, and more. I hope you will check out one of the many clubs that are open to you. Personally, I hope you consider the President's Leadership Society (PLS). PLS is open to all students and is a great way to meet new people and build your resume.
