EMT 1050 - Basic EMT Clinical Practice (Institutional Credit)


Supervised clinical application of skills developed in EMT 1010. Emphasis on roles and responsibilities of the EMT, patient assessment, basic airway management, initiation of intravenous therapy, communication skills, and treatments used to treat medical emergencies.

Prerequisites:
(Corequisite: EMT 1010.)

Credits: (2).

Lab/Lecture Hours:
Minimum of 90 hours per semester.

Students must be admitted into the Emergency Medical Technology (EMT) Program before they can register for EMT courses.
